I bought this rather over-the-top machine as spares for my original 1949 Derny Tandem (see page 43 or CLICK HERE) because it has a chain-cover, which is missing on the other one.
However, it’s in quite good condition even though it doesn’t have the Zurcher engine or petrol tank. So this tandem would be ideal if you fancied a period machine for mounting a cyclemotor engine. For example, a Powerpak on the back would be ideal.
It’s yet another of my projects awaiting attention, but I’ve since finished restoring another tandem, and am selling all the duplicates in my vintage collection.
