This 1951 Cyclemaster, on a 1954 Raleigh All-Steel Bicycle, was not built to show - it was built to use.
It has a genuine accessory Sturmey Archer front brake, which is more powerful than normal bicycle brakes.
There’s a stirrup brake on the rear.
It has a heavier saddle because it is more comfortable for long journeys.
The 32cc engine was rebuilt by the previous owner.
He used it last year to race around the track at the Festival of 1000 bikes.
It still has its racing number on the front.
It runs well.
The Raleigh All Steel Bicycle was one of the most popular models in the sixties, and is suited to motorization because it is such a well-built frame. The All Steel model was made until 1960 and was exported all over the world.
